Good leather belt??
« on: January 18, 2015, 10:45:35 PM »
I'm in lake Stevens, and am having a hell of a time finding a good leather belt worth a damn.
My previous belt came from Wilson leather.  I checked them out but nothing looked good.
Any ideas?

Filson sells some pretty nice belts.  Had one for about two years now and wear it everyday.  Still in really good shape

+2 for Filson.

http://www.filson.com/products/1-1-2-double-belt.63215.html

I've had this one for 7 years and it still looks new.  Put some mink oil on it then buffed it out so it wouldn't stain my clothes. Like most Filson products, worth the money.

Also comes in 1.25" width

I have two Filson belts, and they are the best quality.  The one I'm wearing now was bought in the 90's.  It's been through hell and back & still does the job.  I bought a new one recently, so I could wear it when we dress up.  My old one is well broken in.  They have various widths available & they are made from bridle leather.  Can't go wrong.   :twocents:

This is the one I like best:

I lost my belt, I've tore the house apart looking for it and the camper, shop, kids' rooms.  I've no clue where it could have run off too.

It was hand made by a guy in Addy, WA who owns colville fastner.  I'm going to get another one I really liked it.

Guy on Camano Island makes custom ones and holsters Reasonably priced. Scott Camanoridge@aol.com He has made a couple of holsters for me. Solid work.

I got a gun belt from this guy after reading up on a concealed carry forum.  Expensive, but by far the best belt I've ever owned, perfectly supports any holster system from a full size auto on down.

I got the 1 1/4" dual layer bullhide with the internal stiffener, have been wearing it for 2-3 years now.

Sportsman's Warehouse has good ones for about $30. You can also get good quality belts at the Saturday Markets usually.
